Internet Explorer 7

You Want It Easier and Safer Just when you thought you would never see another version of Internet Explorer in the next ice age, Microsoft hit the world with the launch of a great new browser app.

For a long time many web users have been tired of waiting for Microsoft to update their technology and look elsewhere, especially towards Firefox.

Now the king of big and bad sailors is not eager to see his crown struggle, but can it be enough to win back his desert?

First, a streamlined new interface is definitely an improvement.

Microsoft has basically removed the menu bar and hides all the tools and features in a compact set of icons, finely placed at the top right of the interface.

It allows you to view the page in a very large display space. IE finally decided to support tab browsing. This includes new tabs for instant opening, plus a smart Quick Tab button, which opens a thumbnail preview of all the tabs you open on one screen and, unlike Firefox, IE 7 actually has a close button on each tab.

You can even save a group of tabs as your website until it all starts at the beginning. We also appreciate the print preview tool, which adjusts the pages according to your paper 7 has improved the way you integrate RSS. When you find a website that supports RSS, the toolbar icon turns orange.

Click on it and you will be taken to a page showing all the feeds for the site. Just click subscribe to this feed link to add it to your favorites.

You can also subscribe by clicking the small star icon on the left. Unlike Firefox, however, there is no scroll view down each object in the feed.

Favorites center, opened by clicking on the big star icon, is divided into favorites, feeds and history.

Security is usually one of the disadvantages of IE features.

In addition to the pop-up blocker, version 7 also cleans up anti-phishing filters. To try, we opened a well-known phishing website published on Phishtank. Disappointingly, the filter failed to report for the most part. Phishing protection may not be the strength of IE 7, but at least the browser has SSL 2 security protocol.

0 and 3.0 and TLS 1.0, just like Firefox.

For all its upgrades, IE is still not perfect. Like Firefox, IE does not pass the Acid2 test and does not even support the latest standards.

We found IE to save and drag as you open new tabs, gadget sections and apply new settings. You can add a large number of search and extension bar providers from Microsoft websites, but the number is still much smaller than with Mozilla extension for Firefox.

In addition, IE 7 is actually limited to those of you who have XP SP2 and for some reason you need to turn off your antivirus and reboot your computer to install it properly (function () {(‘review-app-page-desktop’);} );
